Hello everyone,
The frog that didn't know it was being boiled
This is the principle of the boiled frog:
A lesson in wisdom delivered by a frog
From Plato’s Allegory of the Cave to Matrix, through La Fontaine’s fables, symbolic language is a preferred means of stimulating reflection and conveying ideas.
The author invites us here to a journey through metaphors that carry consciousness, evolution, and change.
A condensation of life and wisdom, which everyone can plant to make their garden flourish!
The frog's highlights the disastrous consequences of being unconscious to change, whether it affects our health, our relationships, social evolution, or the environment. Consciousness or cooking, you have to choose!
Imagine a pot filled with cold water in which a frog is swimming calmly.
The fire is lit under the pot, and the water is heating up slowly.
- You'll see, if we raise the temperature very gradually, the frog won't notice a thing!
It’s getting lukewarm soon.
The frog finds this rather pleasant and continues to swim.
- The temperature keeps rising.
The frog in the pot of water.
(Are we already half-cooked?)
The water is now hot.
It’s a bit more than the frog enjoys; it tires her somewhat, but she doesn’t panic because of it.
- The water is really hot this time.
The frog is beginning to find this unpleasant, but she has weakened, so she endures and does nothing.
-
The temperature keeps rising until the frog simply ends up cooking and dying. (Poor little frog.)
-
If the same frog had been plunged directly into water at 50, it would have immediately given the appropriate kick that would have ejected it from the pot at once.
This experience shows that when a change takes place slowly enough, it escapes consciousness and, most of the time, provokes no reaction, no opposition, no revolt.
- If we look at what has been happening in our society over the past few decades, we are experiencing a slow drift that we are becoming accustomed to.
A lot of things that would have horrified us 20, 30, or 40 years ago have gradually become normalized and only mildly bother us today, or leave most people completely indifferent.
In the name of progress and science, the gravest violations of individual freedoms, of dignity, of the integrity of nature, of beauty and of the joy of living, are carried out slowly and inexorably, with the constant complicity of the victims, whether ignorant or powerless.
The bleak outlooks announced for the future, instead of prompting reactions and preventive measures, merely psychologically prepare the people to accept decadent, even DRAMATIC, living conditions.
The constant barrage of information from the media saturates brains that can no longer distinguish between what is relevant and what is not…
When I first announced these things, it was for tomorrow.
Now, it’s today!!!
So if you're not already half-cooked, like the frog, give the helpful nudge before it's too late.
Please share this widely. ARE WE ALREADY HALFWAY THERE
"CUITS"??
Have a good day
