Migration of the essential VoyanceAZ website

Hello everyone!!!

In fact, the site is really very old, and I realize that it attracts envy: a lot of attacks, spam, ads, etc.

And on top of that, you are more and more numerous, which doesn't help. This summer I already changed servers and hosting to switch to something more robust, but now it's the programs that need to be updated.

It's a colossal amount of work

We absolutely have to move to a recent version, but that means rewriting everything…

I've been working on it for weeks, but it's becoming urgent, and I think I'm going to go ahead with it no matter what, even if some features are no longer there.

And even if some non-critical malfunctions remain unresolved. It’s too hard to implement the new system while keeping the old one running.

It is also to make it easier to do new things that a site switchover is necessary.

Yes, I am currently examining a payment/compensation system to enable the development of independent psychic offerings. And if this is technically possible, and above all in line with the spirit of VAZ, we will have the opportunity to do it.

It wasn't possible in this version.

Other ideas can be developed: a directory, perhaps a bit more interactivity... we'll see.

The fact is that I have another very demanding job and it’s hard to do it all!!!

So I might end up launching the site with an unattractive but temporary look…

Actually, the price would be exorbitant. I think I’ll have to resort to external services at some point, but for that to happen, the site will need to generate a minimum amount of revenue… Besides, I have no confidence in them at all! After all, you can never be better served than by yourself.

I was thinking about what is done on some large sites: the administrator delegates and gets help from certain moderators.
But for that, you really do need to get along very well and have complete trust.
Honestly, if you have to rewrite and redo everything, it's a monumental task, whereas copying isn't rocket science, it just takes a lot of time.

As for keeping everything as it is: personally, I’m fine with keeping what’s important, but I think some discussion threads could be streamlined by removing the fluff that adds weight without contributing to the topic.

I just saw that a new site was under construction, congratulations on your dedication and courage, (I’m having internet issues at home so I’ll check the site at my workplace when I have a moment), I went to visit it of course except that I can’t log in, maybe this is normal because I wanted to do a reading AZ but I was asked for my login and I couldn’t log in, so the reading went down the drain hihi!!! so I don’t know if this is due to me or something else,
Anyway, everything seems to be working fine, and as for my DMs, I’ve printed them out, so no worries.
