One must bow before every being one encounters, for each being is unique and possesses a cup that holds the wisdom of its experience.
If I place myself above the person I meet, they cannot pour the wine of wisdom into my own cup. If, on the contrary, I bow, their wisdom naturally flows into me, by a kind of law of spiritual gravity.
That is what, in everyday language, we call "being attentive to others."
It is a far more important attitude than one might think.
Because no one ever crosses our path by chance.
Every being, even the most humble and even the most difficult, the worst,
has something to teach us and can help us forge our character
and to develop in us the principle of love.
In this sense, each being is a master to the other.
And as long as we have conflicts with a person, as long as we are not in harmony with them, it is because they still have something to teach us.
It is that we must work on an aspect of our character in his company.
In the face of every conflict, every frustration, whether at work or in love,
We must get used to asking ourselves the question:
What is this situation, what has this being come to teach me?
Why is he on my path at this point in my life?
And when we find the answer, a new lesson is learned, a new step is climbed on the infinite staircase of wisdom…
And the difficulty, having become unnecessary, disappears instantly…
But we ignore this simple law, we do not take others into account, because we lack humility and are blinded,
as if we were walking through life with a mirror in front of us, in which we gaze at ourselves in sterile self-absorption, preventing us from seeing others…
That is why most people are convinced
that they are the only ones who are right, that everyone else is wrong…
For this reason, there is almost never a real conversation,
and all beings remain solitary, trapped in their own mental web.
Therefore, wars, small and large, perpetuate themselves through the centuries… Because no one wants to take the time
to walk in someone else's shoes before judging…
