May this prayer help you find inner peace.
Lord, in the silence of this dawning day
I am coming to ask you for peace, wisdom, and strength.
I want to look at the world today
with eyes filled with love,
to be patient, understanding, gentle, and wise.
Look beyond appearances, my children
as you see them yourself
and thus to see only the good in everyone.
Shut my ears to all slander,
Keep my tongue free from all malice,
that only the thoughts that bless
remain in my mind.
May I be so kind and so joyful
May everyone who approaches me feel your presence.
Clothe me in your goodness, Lord,
and that throughout this day I reveal to You.
