Thank you, Tom, for this additional information.
It’s Olivier who cuts off my hands and sometimes my feet (Olivier is a former boyfriend of Caroline’s, the grief not yet having been resolved)
Dreaming about your ex-boyfriend and having ended that relationship for serious reasons places the dreamer in the same situation right now with another person.
The parts of the human body are linked to three dimensions in our dreams: The feet are linked to everything material, earthly desires, (survival) and the feet have powers identical to the KEY. The key serves to open doors to the supernatural or to the temporal, moving from the unattainable to the attainable. The foot decides where it will place its evolutionary step. In this sense, agility is marked by wings on the feet. The foot is a manifestation of the soul that decides its life trajectory on earth. It is a power, above all, of its realization, asserting itself through material, sexual, and social life. Cut feet represent a great emotional wound.
In that case, he is determined, smiling, and calm, but I am not reassured at all (I wouldn’t have been reassured either,
The hands are white, on the back: symbolizes an omen, an open declaration,
placed on a table: In a dream, the table symbolizes the dreamer's stability
It places the dreamer within their affective and romantic life. This love is nonexistent.
Not attached, and me on my knees: Finding oneself on one's knees before a person symbolizes the recognition of their values toward a person in a position of power and authority.
Begging in tears: symbolizes suffering and pain. Not to saw off my hands, yet not to save me either. (A feeling of powerlessness here; I acknowledge the arcanum 16, The House of God, which I interpret below.)
The left hand is the first (she is left-handed) to be amputated; the blood flows but does not gush. The left hand represents passivity, secrecy, the unconventional, and what is hidden. The right hand represents the active and the will.
And Olivier calmly departs with both hands, delicately placed in a basket. Here I see the number 2 (The High Priestess) and a basket. Moreover, he leaves and steals his hands from him:
A bad omen, for he appropriates things that are not rightfully his; sooner or later, he will suffer the consequences or the unpleasant repercussions (see below for ICARE). He takes, he steals, he takes love, both in the passive and in the active.
Interpretation according to the arcanum I see in his dream
The House of God due to its manifestation of powerlessness: the House of God in a dream signifies fragility, collapse. Unlucky, it promises reckless objectives, falls in position. Card houses crumble. Collapse is necessary to open up to greater awareness, and more experience. The House of God is the sixteenth arcanum of the Marseille Tarot; this arcanum expresses punishment, Ruin, but temporary. It is a sort of necessary crisis in the face of recklessness and Failure related to the errors of others.
The number (2) signifies instability and passivity; it is the opposition in every project, and the confusion it creates prevents continuity through conflicts. The High Priestess in a dream is a mysterious woman possessing the book of mystical truth, of revelation, and the power of the spirit that she does not yet know how to express. As a witness to authentic revelation, she possesses the knowledge of Knowledge. She is devoted to the priesthood. Her power cannot be power; it is knowledge. She can access the Akashic records in the eschatological direction of the world and the destiny of humankind. In the dream, she signals a highly interesting degree of the soul’s growth.
ICARE: Icarus is a mythological figure, the son of Daedalus and a slave. Imprisoned in the labyrinth with his father, he managed to take flight thanks to the wings attached by the latter, with wax on his shoulders. He thus escaped from the prison of the Minotaur, who had been killed earlier by Theseus. Although warned by his father Daedalus not to fly too high near the sun, he disobeyed, flew so high that the wax melted, and ICARE fell into the sea, where he drowned.
On the profane level, it represents the individual harboring unrealistic ambitions, or the intellectual whose mind is warped by the vanity of the intellect, the nervous person who cannot control their emotions. On the supernatural level, it personifies the soul that bases its life on human love, forgetting that divine love can make the true source of affection for the human person enduring.
