Personally, I’ve taken on the workload of three colleagues who were laid off. He summoned me this afternoon and made it clear that if I’m not more productive, I’ll be out the door. He didn’t hide the fact that he had already considered this scenario. He put the same pressure on another colleague. He’s rescheduled a meeting with me in a month to review the situation. Do you think I’m going to be fired, or will I manage to get through this?
