The quest for self

The quest for self

There is an invaluable treasure of a splendor far beyond anything you can imagine. This jewel is of infinite magnitude and eternal duration. It is an unlimited potential. You cannot capture it or possess it. If you did, it would reduce it to the state of something. And it is not something; it is before all things.

You cannot see this jewel because it is not an object, it is a subject. This subject is YOU. You are Light, Love, and Joy. You are Wholeness. Every manifestation is your expression. Nothing that exists is foreign to you; all is in you and through you.

Did you realize that?

If so, that is wonderful. You have discovered your true nature. You spend your existence exploring the depths of the Self, communing with the divine.

If not, an invaluable discovery awaits you. All that remains is to lift the veil that prevents this intimate encounter with your true nature. The idea that an ego exists is the root of suffering. Realizing that the ego is an illusion and that only the Self exists frees one from the burden of human misery.

Once the existence of the ego is admitted, all that remains is to identify with this belief to be truly trapped. Identification with the ego is possible because you hold the belief that you are a separate and distinct individual from others. This is a major source of conflict. Identification with the ego is the source of our suffering, our limitations, and our quest for happiness.

We have gotten used to taking refuge in the past or the future to escape what is happening within us. Any attempt to flee is futile. Sooner or later, you will have to face what is. Begin now and never stop. Welcome what is here for you here and now. There is nothing else to do. Happiness is not elsewhere or tomorrow. It is here and now in the acceptance of what is.

Are you possessed by the certainty that life is something other than what you are living? Do you feel this call of freedom and truth burning within you? Then continue your search and you will find it. Do not look for it outside; there is nothing there. Look inside, especially for what lies behind the seeker, and you would discover a space where nothing exists, nothing but a loving and luminous presence. This presence is you.

Simply being here and now, by focusing your attention on the space from which thoughts arise, allows you to taste the simplicity of being. It is so simple, and the mind complicates everything.

Spiritual awakening is not for tomorrow, nor for special beings. It is for everyone, here and now. Fundamentally, you are already awake!!! Your individuality has simply not yet realized it. Do you want to realize it? Take a moment and listen to the SILENCE, dive into it and appreciate this SILENCE. The SILENCE may have something to say to you.

Don't talk, shh

Let Him speak to you. Listen.

A good encounter with yourself.

Good Sunday

Marylena

My dear Marylena, it is true that knowing oneself at the deepest level is a wonderful thing; knowing one's "self," one's body, and reaching a state of peace with oneself is more than beautiful, but this infernal life has made us forget the beautiful things and even the simplest ones to acquire.

Kisses to you
