Hello Lemagicien,

I'm going through a period where I'm asking myself a lot of questions. My husband wants to be transferred. If he is, I'll have to resign from my job. There won't be any loss of unemployment benefits since it's a spousal relocation, but it will mean I have to look for a job there, which brings anxiety and so on... I tell myself that, in a way, it wouldn't be a bad thing, because the company I currently work for is not doing well and may close down. But you know how it is, we worry over nothing, afraid of losing more financially than we have, especially because of the kids.
I’d like to go too and accept this transfer. We’ll have to sell the house and move into a rental for a while, since real estate is more expensive there. Do you think this transfer wouldn’t put us in a financial bind and that I’d find a job quickly?

Hello Carthage,

I don’t see any mutation coming up or in the pipeline for your husband. On the other hand, if this were to happen nonetheless, you wouldn’t find yourselves in a financially embarrassing situation, though I’m not sure you’d quickly find a job elsewhere.
