The best test of biblical love is to do the following, especially if you don't feel like it (Matthew 5:46-48):
A. LOVE IS PATIENT, even when you feel compelled to express yourself forcefully. Love endures pain or trials without complaint, shows tolerance in the face of provocation or tension, and remains steadfast despite opposition, difficulty, or adversity.
B. LOVE IS FULL OF KINDNESS, even when you are tempted to respond with violence or to tear the other person down with your words. Love is full of sympathy and consideration; it is gentle and lovable.
C. LOVE IS NOT JEALOUS, especially when you think that others are given more attention than you are. Love takes no part in rivalries; it is not hostile toward anyone it perceives as having an advantage over it, and it does not suspect evil. Love acts for the good and well-being of the other.
D. LOVE DOES NOT BOAST, even when you are tempted to tell the whole world about your exploits. Love does not brag and does nothing to exalt itself. Instead, love exalts and builds up others.
E. LOVE DOES NOT BRAG, even when you think you are right and others are wrong. Love does not assert itself; it does not become authoritarian in its relationships with others.
F. Love does nothing dishonorable, even though boasting, being rude, or being authoritarian would attract more attention and allow you to impose your will. Love conforms to what is right, good, and proper in order to honor the Lord.
G. Love does not seek its own interest, even when you feel the urge to monopolize everything or when the opportunity presents itself to do so. Love does not try to fulfill its own desires, does not seek to impose its will, nor does it seek to acquire gains for itself. Love is an act of will that seeks to serve rather than to be served.
H. LOVE IS NOT PROVOKED, even when others seek to annoy you or when you are tempted to fight against someone or something. Love is not easily offended or provoked into fits of anger. Love perseveres faithfully and gently in instructing others with justice, even when they fall.
I. LOVE DOES NOT SUSPECT EVIL, even when everyone seems to be against you, or when you are openly attacked. Love does not hold grudges. Love forgives, chooses not to bring up past wrongs to accuse or seek revenge, does not repay evil with evil, and does not indulge in self-pity. Love covers a multitude of sins.
J. Love does not rejoice in injustice, even when another’s misfortune
appears to be exactly what he deserved. Love weeps over sin, its consequences, and the suffering that arises from our living in a fallen world. Love seeks to reconcile others with the Lord.
K. LOVE REJOICES IN THE TRUTH, even when it is easier and materially advantageous to lie. Love rejoices when the truth is known, even if it leads to adverse circumstances, mockery, or persecution.
L. Love excuses everything, even when disappointments seem insurmountable. Love is tolerant, bearing with those who are difficult to understand or who are not convenient. Love views difficulties through the lens of eternity. It remembers that God develops spiritual maturity through difficult circumstances.
Love believes everything, even when others' actions are ambiguous and you no longer feel like trusting anyone. Love accepts with confidence, does not judge others' motives, and believes what they say until proven otherwise. Even when the facts show that a person is not trustworthy, love seeks to restore them so that they become trustworthy.
N. Love hopes for all things, even when everything seems to be going wrong. Love expects the fulfillment of God's plan and envisions the best solution for the other. Love entrusts others to the Lord, trusting that God will manifest His sovereign and perfect will in their lives.
O. LOVE ENDURES ALL, especially when you feel you can no longer bear others or the circumstances of your life. Love remains constant despite suffering or adversity; it does not weaken, and even in trials it brings a blessing.
P. LOVE NEVER PERISHES, even when you feel overwhelmed and the situation seems hopeless. Love does not crumble under pressure or because of difficulties. Love remains faithful and selfless even unto death
Have a good day
