I am about to sell my house; I am moving because my son has health problems

to be closer to him. What worries me is that, given the current circumstances, my house is valued

by local agencies, which is a significant drop from its purchase price, but I still hope to sell it quickly and be able to buy an apartment without taking out a loan. My husband and I are retired. I am a woman born on July 27, 1949.

It's not easy to sell a house, but have you listed it with multiple agencies and placed personal ads or online listings, which would give you a better chance of selling? There will be viewings, but I don't see a sale before early 2014.
