Basically, he told me he was torn between the desire to accept my invitation to share more moments together and the fear of hurting me. He said he was all over the place emotionally and in terms of openness, that for now he felt fine being alone after a 14-year relationship, despite the shortcomings of a couple’s life. He said he wanted to share more moments with me without any drama, “friendly,” I’d like to say.
