My doctor is referring me to a specialist for further tests. It could be cancer.

Abnormalities in blood tests or other samples are not necessarily indicative of cancer.
I advise you to wait for the specialist's results.
I’m more inclined to think of a bone problem or possible anomaly… I say that conditionally!
