Thank you for your reply, and likewise for the ideas… I had an encounter where we only exchanged a “goodbye” on the TGV (a 3-hour face-to-face ride) that amused me a lot… hence the idea for this book (I had never thought about writing a book before this event…) I already have a title…
Who knows, maybe it's a good start to a novel…

You already have a title for your book… So all that’s left is to create your characters through this encounter, where the only word exchanged was “goodbye,” yet it was marked by smiles, exchanged glances, or a certain rapport that developed over three hours with this stranger, which indeed could be a good start for a novel.
The plot could be to dare to put yourself in the other person's shoes, to know what the person across from you was thinking about you during those 3 hours of travel, to try to discover what lies behind that “Goodbye.”
