Here is your 2006 Transit for the next six months.
Uranus Conjunction Saturn: Conflicts of Principles
From early May 2005 to mid-January 2007: During this period of your life, the structures you believed you could rely on and considered permanent will be threatened by sudden events. This is often a period of great tension followed by a sudden release of that tension. This influence almost always represents a serious conflict of principles.
On the one hand, there is the structure of your reality—those aspects of existence you consider truly real, permanent, concrete, and defined, the inevitable circumstances of life that must be accepted by all who call themselves realistic. This influence runs counter to that structure by causing sudden changes in areas you did not expect to change. And the more you believe your situation is fixed, the more rigid and inflexible your view of reality becomes, the more shocking your experience of this influence is likely to be.
Usually, tension has been building up over the years in different areas of your life. These tensions are most commonly the result of the compromises we all make between what we expect from life and what we feel we can get from it. But some of these compromises may violate your integrity even without you realizing it. Unconsciously, however, you know this, and a transformative force begins to set in motion that will eventually try to throw overboard the aspects that limit your life. This begins to surface in the form of an unbearable tension between your desire to be free from restrictions and your fear of insecurity and change.
In the end, you reach a point where something has to give, which happens suddenly. People generally react to this influence by acting abruptly, which surprises others, as these actions occur without warning and do not appear to be premeditated. Ultimately, no matter how disruptive this transit seems, it is a positive energy, because it frees you from the accumulated structures that have been holding you back.
Jupiter Conjunct Mercury: Foresight
From early December 2005 to early August 2006: During this period, you are able to combine a broad perspective with sharp perception and intelligence, linking specific knowledge with general understanding, thereby seeing the full scope of everything you are involved in. This translates into a capacity for foresight and long-term planning. This is the right time to outline the broad lines of your future, as you can understand and correlate all the elements that will influence your life.
At the same time, you feel optimistic and act with the conviction that everything will unfold exactly as you wish. And that is likely to happen, because you do not let yourself be completely carried away by grandiose thoughts. This influence usually indicates a good balance in your thinking between details and the big picture, but there is a tendency to downplay the importance of details and not pay them the attention they require. If you are not careful, this can lead to poorly thought-out or hasty thinking. Be sure to slow down a bit and not let yourself be swept away by your plans. Apart from that, it is an excellent time to make decisions or conclude all kinds of transactions. It is a wonderful time to buy or sell, as you will almost certainly be satisfied with the deal.
As your mind strives to expand, you will want to learn more and more. This is the right time to resume your studies, and you will be eager to learn even in a less formal setting. You might even travel far with this goal in mind. Any dealings with the law should be entirely favorable to you now. You will skillfully prepare for such a confrontation, leaving no detail to unsettle you.
Relationships with others are infinitely happy under this influence. Your optimism and positive spirit bring you good news from others regarding matters of importance. At the same time, everything you say to them is very positive and reinforces their opinion, and you leave a good impression everywhere you go.
Jupiter trine Saturn: Clear intentions
From mid-December 2005 to the end of August 2006: During this period, you can patiently work on building something. You are able to keep your long-term goals in mind while dealing with all the everyday problems that arise. As a result, the work you undertake now is very well done. You have an exceptional understanding of the relationship between the parts and the whole.
This is an opportune moment to take on all sorts of practical problems. Your mind is down-to-earth, but you are not lacking in vision or foresight. That is why this is an excellent time to develop an existing business or expand into a new line of business. As soon as you find the most practical solution to a problem, you immediately take that direction. Clarity of intention is one of the strongest points of this transit.
During this period, you will not particularly want to be with other people. It is a favorable time to go off on your own, reflect, and thus arrive at a clearer idea of what you want to do. But do not worry about feeling alone, as solitude will be beneficial to you and will not be unpleasant at all.
All your actions are governed by a powerful sense of duty. You recognize the many responsibilities you have in the world and are willing to honor them as best as possible. You may adopt a quasi-paternalistic attitude toward the people around you, wishing to protect them and take on their troubles as if they were your own. However, be careful not to overdo it in this direction, because even if your intentions are good, beyond a certain point, you have no right to dispose of people's lives.
Even if you encounter setbacks during this period, they are unlikely to seriously affect you. You will take them in stride, weather the storm, and move on to the next phase. You will keep in mind the goal you want to achieve, and you will not be easily dissuaded from pursuing it.
Jupiter Conjunct Neptune: A Sense of Compassion
From early February 2006 to early October 2006: During this transit, your ideals will be stimulated as they rarely are at other times, and you will approach life with greater compassion. People who are unable to help themselves will receive your particular support, whether you encounter them personally or through your participation with others in a mutual aid association. Your primary concern is to help individuals by lending them a hand. You may be less concerned with transforming the social order that has created the conditions burdening the people you care for.
Your interest in spiritual, religious, and mystical philosophy will likely grow at this time, and you may become involved in a group that studies these subjects. This world no longer seems to meet your needs sufficiently, so you must turn inward to find a world that can give you what you are truly seeking. Here too, you will discover that the ego’s impulses toward self-satisfaction and authoritarianism may be significant factors preventing you from obtaining what you desire in life. During this period, the demands of your ego must be soothed, at least somewhat, so that you can truly hear what your deeper self is saying.
Unfortunately, there is another aspect to this transit that you should pay attention to. Some people give off an impression of false happiness, as if they were living in the imaginary world of an opium smoker, disconnected from reality. You may think that everything is fine when it is not, or you may believe that you can get away with anything. This is why this transit is often associated with gambling or taking risks with limited resources, often leading to disastrous consequences. It is not a very good transit for making investments, not necessarily because you will lose, but simply because you will not be absolutely certain and will be tempted to bet even if the risk is high. For the same reason, when it comes to business, make sure that you are not being misled by significantly erroneous information.
Neptune Square Neptune: Self-examination
From late February 2006 to mid-December 2007: This influence is often part of the “midlife crisis,” as it occurs when you are around forty-two years old. During this period, you will likely deeply question your life, your goals, and to what extent you have achieved your ideals so far. Depending on the results of this assessment, you may begin to make certain changes. The problem is that this is not the best influence for making well-considered changes in your life. There is a great danger that you will hastily pursue some unrealistic and unworthy dream. It is very important to use this period for self-analysis, but it is not a good idea to act now.
If you act too quickly, you will only create serious turmoil in your personal and family life or in your work. You will likely act on the basis of false or incomplete ideas about yourself and your needs. Unfortunately, since you are in your forties, you have probably convinced yourself that you know who you are and what you are. And perhaps you did know, but the role of this influence is to lead you to reassess who you are, which you do not know at the moment. The best solution is to acknowledge this situation and simply allow yourself to see the truth, whatever it may be. Give yourself plenty of leeway and have all the experiences that seem necessary to you. Do not make any long-term commitments at this time. You do not want to spend the rest of your life bearing the consequences of hasty actions taken under the influence of a fleeting illusion.
A large number of the perceptions received during this period will be real, and several will not. Only time will judge and allow you to determine the true from the false.
Saturn Conjunction Moon: Self-Criticism
From July 22, 2006, to August 7, 2006: During this period, you will feel the need to engage in deep introspection, self-examination, and self-criticism. It is highly likely that you will feel lonely and depressed. The way you handle this influence will have significant consequences for your physical and psychological well-being later on.
This is a good time to practice introspection, provided you do not judge. It does not matter whether you are in agreement with your ideal or not. The real question is to know who you are. This influence can help you discover that. That said, it can be an extremely constructive period, even if it is usually experienced painfully.
During this period, you may distance yourself from others, have difficulties in your relationships—particularly with females—feel depressed and inadequate for what life demands. The best way to get through it is not to take any of this too seriously. Your perspective is distorted and gives you the impression that small things matter a great deal. Do not make any final decisions about your love life. Wait until you can see more clearly what you have gained from this period.
If you have recently ended a relationship, it may be better to leave things as they are. Do not make any effort to reconnect before the end of this period.
Happy reading
