Hello,
Given that I have many dreams and these dreams are often premonitory, I would like to know how it is that one can dream of things in advance and then have them come true.
We have nightmares because we ate too much, because we were stressed during the day, etc… I agree and I understand, but I still haven’t understood how premonitory dreams work.
Thank you for your comments.
Sincerely
Ladysally
How and why (premonitory dreams)
Machine translation.
Hello Ladysally,
I think premonitory dreams will always remain an enigma! It is difficult to know where they come from and why we have them. I have them too, and they are very striking.
I came across a text written by a man named Jean Michel Crabbé, which says:
How to explain premonitory dreams?
The premonitory dream exists, and it challenges conventional notions of time. The dream then seems to know something we do not yet know. The most likely explanation is that the unconscious notices, in our environment, things to which our consciousness is not attentive. In a way, the unconscious, by decoding messages from the outside world, anticipates their logical outcome and informs us through “premonitory” dreams.

Hello Eliana, ![]()
In 1999, I was on vacation in Turkey when I saw a shooting star, and I quickly made a wish.
That very evening, I had this disturbing and true dream:
A multitude of stars, two of which collide, and a voice tells me that this is a great miracle, one never seen before.
After that, I rush to look up dream interpretations and come across this: seeing stars fall or collide means an earthquake.
One morning, during our very early breakfast, a phone call came in to announce the earthquake and that a close friend, who was also on vacation, had died as a result of it. Two days earlier, he had offered to take the excess of our luggage since he was leaving without any bags. I told my husband, "You know, he says that, but you'll see, he won't leave with our things." Just as I said, that's exactly what happened.
Maybe we make astral journeys that allow us to experience the future, and we make predictions based on what we’ve seen.
Best regards

Hello ladysally,
Indeed, we could do without such dreams, which are not very pleasant…
Generally, my premonitory dreams are almost always announcements of the death of my loved ones. I don't know how to interpret this, and it is always confirmed, sometimes 6 months and even 2 days before the death. When my mother passed away, I had dreamed of her. In reality, she was ill and had just undergone surgery, but nothing could have suggested that she would die from it, so suddenly. In my dream, she told me: "See, I'm cured, I have a beautiful face!" Upon waking up, I didn't dare to think what I believed. Was it a sign of healing? Well, yes, it was indeed a sign of healing, but a different one...
That's true, ladysally, our subconscious gives us information about our past experiences, but also about future events, yet why that is will always remain a mystery.

Hello Eliana,
Yeah, it's not cool to have premonitory dreams, especially when they foreshadow bad news.
But if I had taken certain dreams seriously, I would be rich by now. (post posted on the site's article)
It’s just that it’s not easy to decode messages from the good or the bad, or to tell the difference between a recurring dream and a premonition.
Best regards

Hello Ladysally,
In our dreams, we glimpse what our psyche has buried deepest in terms of fears, desires, and fantasies.
In dreams, we see what we dare not say, what we dare not do, what we dare not imagine in real life, but what we wish for at the deepest level of our being.
Whether our dreams are prophetic or not, they always express a deep wish, belonging to our secret garden.

I agree with you.
As for premonitory dreams, if they express a very negative element, I don't think that's a deep wish or something belonging to our secret garden…
But everyone has their own opinions!!

Hello Eliana,
It is true that premonitory dreams often express negative aspects related to our lives or those of others, but who doesn’t have their Jekyll and Hyde side?
Let me explain;
How many people who can no longer bear to live with their partners end up dreaming of murder?
The fear of being or not wanting to be pregnant makes many people dream of drowning or noisy children?
Etc…etc…
All of these are elements or situations that manifest in our so-called premonitory dreams, sometimes in a violent manner, through the symbolism and imagery specific to each of our dreams, yet expressing certain fears stemming from our collective unconscious.

Hello Lemagicien,
I agree with you when you say that certain negative situations in your life are reflected in negative dreams, without thereby claiming that they are premonitory. Some of the fears we experience surface in our dreams through our subconscious, but how can we explain that a premonitory dream, such as the one of a natural disaster dreamed by Ladysally and many others, can turn out to be accurate in reality, even though the fears experienced by these people had nothing to do with those disasters?
I think we could talk about it for days, and that this subject, even when translated or interpreted in many books, cannot reveal the true interpretation unless we are in a position to analyze it ourselves... but that is not an easy task.
Thank you for your intervention.

I may be arriving a bit late to the conversation, but I have a thought to share with you: don’t you think that the examples you give are more related to cause-and-effect relationships than to premonitions?
In my opinion, people who have premonitory dreams are individuals who possess an unconscious hypersensitivity triggered by past or non-past events, enabling them to capture waves that are then processed by our unconscious mind, which translates this information through dreams.
For my part, I have three types of dreams.
Those who allow me to vent my emotions and daily worries, I don't really count them at a moderate pace.
The ones I have sometimes, whose elements are completely unknown to me and have nothing to do with past or present experiences. Less frequent.
Those that either have a connection to a recent past experience and announce events that will come true very quickly, generally within three days to a week, so the dream comes true and is therefore prophetic, or that announce something about an event I am unaware of, generally occur repeatedly more than three times, and the event takes place and I realize it has a connection to that recurring dream, so in that case as well, it is prophetic.
What do you think?
Welcome, Josy,
No, no, it’s not too late.
More than 5 years ago, I also had a dream where: I was in a foreign country and my car broke down. I went into a bar to get help, and while waiting for that help, I ordered a drink. Then I realized I couldn’t leave because I hadn’t paid the bill and I didn’t have the cash to do so. So I decided to call my husband, but every time I called, I was connected to the police. Exasperated, I yelled at the officer on the other end of the line, asking how it was possible that every time I called, it was him who answered. He told me not to hang up and that they would sort out the situation. He came, paid, and fixed the car. As I was leaving the place (the bar), I saw my brother-in-law leaning against a door, laughing foolishly with his hands in his pockets, and that’s when I woke up. I told my husband about my dream, and he said that indeed, every time his brother tried to cross the border, the police were there. On the third attempt, he was caught and fled to England. The bar in question was full of foreigners (Indians and Pakistanis), and I realized it was England. So in a way, I knew he wanted to leave Belgium for England, but the fact that this actually happened—wow! I didn’t even know he had already tried; I found out through my dream, and on top of that, I saw the dream the same night he was arrested. My husband thinks I’m a witch because of all my dreams.
Best regards

Dear Ladysally,
The impression I get every time I read your dreams, and this one in particular, is that it goes beyond a simple premonitory dream; there are other gifts at play, which in my view are your mediumship and clairvoyance. In the end, some people use cards or other tools, but for you, it is your dreams that allow you to read the future.
I don't know what you'll think of my analysis. It seems to me that something very strong is resonating within you, which doesn't surprise me, because even though you're far away, I can still pick up on you a bit with my little antennas.
In all modesty, I would say that we are dream mediums!!
Yes, it does exist; there are several types of mediumship, and premonitory dreams are among them.

Hello! Josy,
Now, as the discussion progresses, I can grasp dreams, premonitions, and so on.
In 1998, my brother-in-law, who is in Belgium, was no longer getting along with his wife and they separated. One day, he called a person, provided some details, and that person was going to perform clairvoyance through dreams and then tell him what she had seen.
Incredible :o
I think that's it, I'm a medium and I can feel almost everything. Come here, get close, shh, say nothing, smack smack, let me kiss your little antennae.
Best regards

Thank you, dear Eliana, for bringing water to my mill. I didn't dare to believe it too much for myself, as I have had dreams of great intensity that ultimately came true, and I thought it was simply information provided by my subconscious revealing future events.
But analyzing our various exchanges, I admit that I agree with your idea that we might be dream mediums, in your words.
See you soon

Hi Eliana,
Well, welcome to the club of dreamers, in all modesty.

Hello Ladysally, Eliana, and Josy,
Dreams are also a reflection of our unconscious identity; they are, in a sense, a form of fingerprint.
There are certain dreams that can have a cause-and-effect relationship, but not necessarily in premonitory dreams, the others being more related to our daily concerns.
People who dream, for example, of natural disasters are, in my opinion, highly sensitive individuals who certainly possess mediumistic gifts, because what they perceive in their dreams are situations that often take place, or are about to take place, in locations hundreds, or even thousands, of kilometers away from their home, and therefore have no connection to the people who might be involved.
Remember the sinking of the Titanic and the Aberfan disaster in Wales, where several people saw in dreams, even months or even years beforehand, what was about to happen.
I think dreams are part of the world of mysteries, just like the afterlife; they are two worlds that are intimately linked, and on which we will still write a great deal…!
With that, I wish you all a happy Easter.
Warm regards
The magician.
Hi Ladysally,
In the end, what you just told us about your brother-in-law perfectly corroborates the thoughts of our friend Eliana, which I had been thinking for myself, not daring to take this kind of premonitory dream for what can be called clairvoyance. So from now on, I will be a bit more attentive to some of my premonitory dreams.
You have some considerable gifts, Ladysally, and if you wish, I think you could develop them further and further.
I didn't say anything, I promise.
And my little antennas and I thank you for your kisses
Big kisses :-*
Hello Lemagicien,
It's a shame I no longer have time; I need to get ready for a wedding and I'm still in my nightgown. If possible, I'll pick up where we left off later, if you're up for it. In the meantime, have a happy Easter.
KISSES KISSES KISSES TO EVERYONE…
FRIENDLY
lADYSALLY
Hello Lemagicien,
First of all, thank you for wishing us Happy Easter, and in turn, I wish you a joyful one—just be careful with the chocolate and enjoy it in moderation.

I have a question: do you think that our changing metabolism during adolescence could alter or intensify this digital fingerprint, our unconscious identity? The reason I ask is that I have noticed that my son, who is 15, has many premonitory dreams, and it was at 14–15 that I too started having a lot of them.
What do you think?
