In my opinion (as I did it myself), you must have posted a question on a forum where they tell you to "post your question only via private message and you will receive it only by email," so you post the question, and for it to be validated, you have to provide your email address, and I believe that is how they send out standard letters like that one.
Finally, I recognize myself somewhere, even though it is an ordinary letter…
