a very old dream

Here is another dream I remember from a very long time ago. I knew exactly how my father was dressed, down to the smallest detail, when he passed away, and yet I did not attend the ceremony at all! How could that happen? Perhaps it was the beginning of all the other dreams I have with deceased family members, except that this time it was not a warning but a description of the person, as if I had been there! Is that possible?
