Intuitive reading

Intuitive reading is a way of interpreting the cards based on the immediate impressions they evoke: a detail of the image, a color, an emotion, an association of ideas. It stands in contrast to, or rather combines with, symbolic reading based on learned meanings. Its advocates see it as a more personal access to the message of the cards; its limits lie in the risk of projecting one’s own concerns. Most readers blend the two approaches.
