Chaldean numerology

Also Chaldean system

Chaldean numerology is a system of correspondences between letters and numbers that uses only the values 1 to 8 and reserves 9, considered sacred, for interpretation. It gives great weight to compound numbers, read before their reduction, and often works with the name in current use rather than the birth name. Despite a name that evokes ancient Babylonia, its ancient origin has not been established: it was popularized mainly in the early 20th century by the author known as Cheiro.
