Animal oracle

An animal oracle is a modern oracle in which each card depicts an animal carrying a symbolic quality or teaching: the patience of the tortoise, the vision of the eagle, the adaptability of the fox. Many of these decks draw loosely on the notion of a totem animal or power animal, sometimes borrowed from Indigenous traditions, which is controversial when those cultures are oversimplified. They are drawn for self-reflection, a quality to cultivate or advice for the moment.
