Part of Fortune

The Part of Fortune is a calculated point in the natal chart, inherited from Hellenistic astrology, that combines the positions of the Ascendant, the Sun and the Moon; for a daytime birth, the distance from the Sun to the Moon is added to the Ascendant, and the formula is often reversed for a nighttime birth. Tradition reads in it well-being, prosperity and bodily ease. It is in no way an indication of financial gain or luck at gambling.
