Solar return

The solar return is the chart cast for the precise moment when the Sun comes back to its exact birth position, which happens every year within a day of one's birthday. Astrologers interpret it as the climate of the coming year, from one birthday to the next. Which location to calculate it for, birthplace or place of residence, is debated among schools.
