Third eye
Also inner eye · mind’s eye
In many spiritual traditions, the third eye is an invisible organ of perception located between the eyebrows, said to allow one to see beyond appearances. It is depicted on the forehead of Hindu deities such as Shiva. Esotericism links it to the pineal gland, a symbolic association with no established anatomical basis. In clairvoyance, “opening the third eye” means developing one’s intuition and extrasensory perception.
