Why another man?

Machine translation.

Hello everyone :D,

I had a strange dream (but not “and penetrating”… ;)) that “ruined” my morning :-[. So, I need to talk about it and try to make sense of it, undoubtedly with your help.

I dreamed that, for some obscure reason, I was returning to my parents’ house (which, by the way, they no longer live in). I want to state clearly from the outset that there are no other instances of time travel. What I mean is that I am of my current age and have my current life experience.
So let's continue: I was leaving the dining room and found myself in the hallway, where a man I have indeed known for a long time was waiting for me.
Apparently this man was my “friend” and he seemed happy to see me.

As for me, I was torn between the pleasure of seeing him and the pain of realizing that he was not my husband (the one I said yes to in real life). I was thinking about this as I kissed my new friend, wondering why my husband had disappeared. I told myself that we had divorced and that he, too, had moved on with his life…

When I woke up, I felt miserable, wretched… as if all of this had really happened, as if I had lost my husband.

I look forward to your comments.

Thank you in advance

Eclair

Hello Eclairlune,

Dreaming of a man always has a sexual and erotic meaning.
This simply means that you will make a new encounter with the possibility of a connection.

Friendship
The magician.

Eclairlune,

Is the man you kissed in your dream someone you know, or have you had a great love affair with this man in the past?

Good evening Eclairlune.

Kissing a stranger in a dream signifies a risk of infidelity…

Kind regards
The magician.

Éclairlune, I suggest you look at what I have written in the glossary; it will help you get a better sense of the context. If you need further explanation, do not hesitate to ask me. See in the dream glossary: Dream of a man.

Rolande

Hello The Magician,
Hello Rolande,

I have known this man for nearly 15 years. We were colleagues, nothing more.
I couldn't understand why I dream about him after so many years without seeing him...
It’s just a dream after all…

Hello Eclairlune,

You're right, it's just a dream after all...
But every dream nonetheless has its significance and meaning, always relating to everyday life, whether one lives it or hopes for it, be it in the realm of sentiment, work, or otherwise.
Every dream has a connection to our experiences, our hopes, or our deepest hidden fantasies…

Best regards
The magician.

Hello Eclairlunaire…

It's just a dream after all..
Don't forget that our dreams may make conscious our most secret or deeply buried desires in our subconscious, and we become aware of them through dreams.

Personal proof: I find a colleague quite attractive, nothing more, and his wife works with us… in a dream, she blew up at me!!! That put an end to my wildest dreams. You get it? It did me good to stop thinking about it.

Best regards, ClaudiaC

Hello Eclairlune,

You're having a hard time understanding why you dream about that man, after so many years…
I believe he is a man you have always had to appreciate, and perhaps even loved in silence, as happens to many of us!
In essence, it is part of the secret garden buried deep within each of us, in our hearts.

Sincerely
The magician.

Hello Eclairlunaire,
By the way, I had the same dream as you, but only after 8 years... and I don't know if it was him who requested my... departure by mutual agreement with the HR manager.
And I’m not overly worried, I mean about the dream… its interpretation does leave me somewhat pensive, of course, just like you. Why don’t I dream about my husband? I agree with you. It’s somewhat unsettling.
I know it might seem strange to dream about a colleague after so many years… and especially to kiss them.;-o

Do you unconsciously want to get back in touch with them?

Best regards, ClaudiaC

This man you dreamed about, whom you say is just a man you worked with, so there’s no need to make a big deal out of it, right? But dreaming about a known man isn’t actually that serious, since he wasn’t a great love in your life. He becomes a symbol to be discovered in relation to the man of your life. All this does not mean that you will be unfaithful or anything like that. Moreover, there is no morality in a dream... it is you who impose the morality, and I understand that this dream may have ruined your morning, as you seem to still be very much in love with your man even after all these years. Perhaps look at the emotional side... the fact that you kiss this man in the dream and that your husband is absent, perhaps you would need to be kissed a bit more, as in the early days of your relationship... I don’t know, I’m trying to look at the situation from a different angle... but it would be good to see that it is a symbol to be discovered with the man you are married to.

Thank you, my friends, for all your comments.

This dream may perhaps have taken on an even different meaning, as I saw him again when I went out for lunch. He was in the same restaurant as me. What a coincidence (unless there’s an element of premonition to it).

At first glance, I didn’t recognize him, and it was only when I greeted other former colleagues that I saw him again.
I found him changed… but very close to the man in my dream.
We exchanged a few words, and the strangest thing was that he seemed to avoid my gaze, whereas a few years ago, he wouldn't have done that.
He’s still a handsome guy, but I didn’t have any reaction to my dream (blushing, etc.)

It was as if being in his physical presence dispelled all... misunderstanding... attraction?

Now, I still don't know why the feeling of losing my husband was so intense in my dream.
One thing reassures me… Despite all our years of marriage, I still love him; otherwise, I wouldn’t have this lump in my stomach. ;D:slight_smile:

Hazard or the synchronicity effect does things well, doesn’t it, eclairlunaire… you found yourself in the same situation as in your dream, there you go… well, everything falls into place and reassures you…
