Unfinished dream

Hello,

I had a strange dream, all the more so since I don’t usually remember the dreams I have during the night and, in the dream I’m about to tell you, I woke up before finding out how it ended…

I don't know how, but in my dream, I arrived at a place where several people (about fifty) were sitting, waiting to be called (probably for an interview)…

I sat down on a bench and spotted, across from me, a former colleague for whom I had a great deal of affection but who, a little over a year ago, decided to cut off all contact with me. She was looking at me, as if she were afraid I would come over to her… And when she wasn’t looking at me directly, she was still keeping an eye on me out of the corner of her eye…

Suddenly, someone calls her name… She gets up and heads to a door, all the while watching me, as if she were afraid I would follow her… Then, she disappears behind a door… A few seconds later, I am called… I get up and head toward the same door… Just before the door opens… I suddenly wake up…

I wonder what interpretation should be given to this strange dream, which is, moreover, unfinished…

I thank you in advance for any insight that helps clarify the situation.

An unfinished dream... left unsatisfied.
The behavior of this former colleague may be similar to that in real life.
You hope to see her again and think you will, but you don’t know whether you’ll manage to have a conversation or not. Hence the unfinished aspect.
I don't know if you had another dream after that one.

First of all, a big thank you for the interpretations you provided. They do indeed align with what I am feeling.

Furthermore, I’ve had other equally bizarre dreams. For instance, on at least three occasions, I was dreaming of—I can’t even remember what—when a phone ringtone suddenly sounded in my head… I jolt awake, but I quickly realize it was all just in my dream… Another time, it was a doorbell that woke me up, but, again, it all happened inside my head…

I wonder if these strange dreams are not a series of signs indicating that this former colleague would like to contact me, but that she can’t… or that she doesn’t feel she’s able to…

Since you said the dream was unfinished, I thought you might have more dreams. And as you yourself say, it could be a series.
