Chart angles

The angles are the four cardinal points of a natal chart: the Ascendant, the Imum Coeli, the Descendant and the Midheaven. They arise where the horizon and the meridian of the birthplace intersect, and they shift quickly, which is why an accurate birth time matters. Astrologers give them particular weight: a planet close to an angle is said to be more visible in the person’s personality and life.
