Afterlife

The afterlife refers to what may exist after death, or, depending on one's beliefs, to the world of spirits and the departed. Every religion and tradition conceives of it differently: paradise, the world of the ancestors, subtle planes, the cycle of rebirth. In psychic practice, contact with the afterlife is spoken of in connection with mediumship, which claims to pass on messages from the deceased.
