Throat chakra
Also Vishuddha · fifth chakra
The throat chakra, Vishuddha in Sanskrit, is the fifth main chakra, located at the neck. Its name means “purification.” Tradition links it to expression, communication, listening and authentic speech. In the West it is associated with light blue and the element of ether. Practitioners connect it to difficulty in voicing what one feels. These correspondences are symbolic and are no substitute for medical advice.
