Astrological correspondences of the tarot

The astrological correspondences of the tarot are the associations drawn between the arcana and the planets, the signs of the zodiac and the elements. The most widespread system, codified by the Golden Dawn, assigns for example the Magician to Mercury, the Emperor to Aries and the Moon to Pisces, and links the pip cards from Two to Ten to the thirty-six decans. These schemes, absent from the early cards, are reading tools that some tarot readers adopt and others ignore.
