Elemental dignities

Elemental dignities are a reading method derived from the Golden Dawn in which reversed cards are not used: each card is strengthened or weakened by the element of the cards next to it. Two cards of the same element reinforce each other, compatible elements such as Fire and Air support each other, and opposing elements such as Fire and Water weaken each other. The technique is used mainly with the Thoth deck and in the English-speaking tradition.
