Ephemeris
Also ephemerides · astronomical tables
An ephemeris is a set of tables giving, day by day, the calculated positions of the Sun, the Moon and the planets, along with other points such as the lunar nodes. Long published as printed volumes, ephemerides are now built into astrology software, which relies on precise astronomical calculations. They are used to cast charts, follow transits and spot retrograde periods.
