Environment position
Also surroundings · external influences
The environment position is the place that describes the outer context of the question: the people around, family, colleagues, the social climate or material circumstances. Found notably in the Celtic Cross and the horseshoe spread, it helps distinguish what belongs to the querent from what comes from outside. A court card in this position often evokes someone in the querent’s circle, though that person cannot be identified with certainty.
