Horseshoe spread
Also horseshoe
The horseshoe spread usually lays out seven cards in an open arc, like a horseshoe turned up or down. It is read as a sequence running from the past to the outcome, by way of the present, hidden influences, surroundings, obstacles and advice, with variations from one reader to another. Its shape makes it possible to follow the thread of a situation while setting the cards on the two arms of the arc side by side, as they often echo each other.
