Obstacle position

The obstacle position is the place reserved for the main difficulty standing in the querent’s way. Close to the opposition position, it differs from it in some spreads by pointing to a more concrete or lasting hindrance, whether external or internal. This card is best read alongside the advice card, which often suggests a way to get around or through the difficulty.
