Celtic Cross
Also Celtic cross spread · Celtic Cross reading
The Celtic Cross is a ten-card spread made up of a central cross of six cards and a column of four cards placed to its right. It was popularized by Arthur Edward Waite in his 1910 book on the tarot, despite a name that points to no documented Celtic tradition. The positions classically describe the situation, what crosses it, the background, the past, what crowns it, the near future, the querent’s place, the surroundings, hopes and fears, and finally the outcome. The exact order varies from author to author.
