Frieda Harris

Frieda Harris (1877-1962) was a British painter who created the paintings for the Thoth Tarot under the direction of Aleister Crowley between 1938 and 1943. Her style, influenced by projective geometry and modern art, gives the deck its vibrant colors and fragmented forms. Her works were exhibited during her lifetime, but the deck was not published until 1969. Today she is credited with an essential creative role in this tarot.
