Geomantic chart

The geomantic chart, sometimes called the shield, is the array of figures built from a geomancy reading. Four Mother figures are generated at random; they produce four Daughters, then four Nieces, which give rise to two Witnesses, whose combination yields the Judge, the figure taken as the final answer. Some authors add a sixteenth figure, the Sentence or Reconciler. The first twelve figures can also be placed in the twelve houses, in the manner of an astrological chart.
