Astral travel

Astral travel refers to the experience, reported by some practitioners, of a consciousness that would leave the physical body to explore other places or other planes. Esoteric traditions attribute it to the astral body. Psychology studies comparable experiences under the name of out-of-body experiences, observed notably during sleep, deep meditation or extreme situations, without concluding that consciousness actually travels.
