Diamonds (cartomancy)

In cartomancy with ordinary playing cards, diamonds are the suit of movement and exchange: news, mail, errands, travel, money in circulation, social life. The French tradition regards the suit as rather neutral or ambivalent, its cards taking on a favorable or unfavorable cast depending on what surrounds them. The ace of diamonds classically announces a letter or news, the jack a messenger, the queen and king more distant people in one's circle. It is often linked to the tarot suit of Pentacles.
