Pentacles

Pentacles are one of the four suits of the Minor Arcana, shown as coins in the Tarot de Marseille, where the suit is called deniers. The Rider-Waite-Smith turns them into pentacles, disks bearing a five-pointed star, and the Thoth deck into disks. The occult tradition generally associates them with the element of Earth and reads in them matter, the body, work, money and things taking concrete form. The suit corresponds to diamonds in ordinary playing cards.
