Divination dice

Divination dice are dice used to obtain an answer or an omen, a practice sometimes called cubomancy. The reading is based on the total rolled, the position of the dice within a drawn circle, or their faces, according to tables of correspondences. There are also dice specially engraved with astrological symbols, runes or words. In the Tibetan tradition, mo is a system of dice divination practiced by lamas. The principle is that of cleromancy: interpreting chance as a sign.
