Mount of Venus
In palmistry, the Mount of Venus is the fleshy pad of the palm at the base of the thumb, encircled by the life line. It is associated with emotional vitality, sensuality, a taste for pleasure and warmth in relationships. A well-developed mount is read as the sign of a generous, lively nature, and a flat one as that of a more reserved temperament. The same name, in its Latin form mons veneris, also refers in anatomy to a region of the pubis, unrelated to palm reading.
