Tarot numerology
Also tarot numbers · numerology of the arcana
Tarot numerology is the study of the meaning attributed to the numbers on the cards: the Roman numerals of the Major Arcana and the values of the pip cards. Each number carries an idea: one for beginnings, two for accumulation or duality, four for stability, ten for the completion of a cycle. It allows cards to be linked to one another, for example the Magician and the Wheel of Fortune, and underpins the reading of the pip cards in the Tarot de Marseille.
