Numerologist

A numerologist is a practitioner who assigns meaning to numbers derived from a person's name and date of birth, using a method of reducing digits inherited from various traditions, often linked, debatably, to Pythagoras. The consultation yields numbers known as expression, heart's desire or life path numbers, which the practitioner then comments on. Like any divinatory practice, numerology offers a symbolic framework for reflection, with no demonstrated scientific validity.
