Ophiuchus
Also the Serpent Bearer · thirteenth sign
Ophiuchus, or the Serpent Bearer, is a constellation the Sun appears to cross between late November and mid-December, between Scorpio and Sagittarius. It is regularly presented as a forgotten “thirteenth sign.” Western astrologers reply that their zodiac is a division into twelve equal sectors, independent of the constellations, and that astronomers have known this constellation since antiquity. Ophiuchus is used only in a few marginal systems.
