Personal oracle

A personal oracle is a divination card deck created by the person who uses it, with their own images, collages or words, and meanings they set themselves. This practice, widespread in cartomancy and art therapy circles, extends the logic of the modern oracle: a card's meaning rests on the convention set. Its practitioners see it as an especially apt tool for introspection, because it speaks their own symbolic language. It claims no traditional authority.
