Precognition
Also prescience
Precognition is the supposed knowledge of a future event that could not be inferred from the information available. The term belongs to the vocabulary of parapsychology, where it names the general category of which premonition and the premonitory dream are particular forms. Practitioners of clairvoyance claim it as one component of their gift. No experiment has established its reality in a recognized way, and memory tends to retain striking coincidences rather than missed predictions.
