Queen

The Queen is the third court card of each suit in the Minor Arcana, shown seated on a throne holding her suit’s emblem. She corresponds to the queen of ordinary playing cards. In tarot reading, she expresses the inner mastery of her suit: receptivity, intuition, a welcoming nature and quiet authority. She may stand for a woman in the querent’s circle, but many readers also see her as a quality open to any querent.
