Symbolic colors of the tarot

The symbolic colors of the tarot are the meanings attributed to the hues of the cards, especially in the Tarot de Marseille, whose limited palette includes red, blue, yellow, green, black, white and flesh color. According to tarot readers, red evokes action and vitality, blue receptivity or the spiritual, yellow intelligence and light, and flesh color the human. These interpretations, developed notably by Paul Marteau and later by the Jodorowsky-Camoin restoration, vary from one edition of the deck to another.
