Jodorowsky-Camoin Tarot de Marseille
Also Camoin-Jodorowsky Tarot · Jodorowsky-Camoin restoration · Alejandro Jodorowsky · Philippe Camoin
The Jodorowsky-Camoin Tarot de Marseille is a restoration published in 1997 by the filmmaker and author Alejandro Jodorowsky and Philippe Camoin, heir to the Marseille card-making house that had taken over the Conver line. It presents itself as a return to the original shapes and colors, based on a comparison of old decks. Historians dispute some of its choices, which they see as interpretive, but the deck has deeply shaped contemporary tarot reading and its psychological approach to the tarot.
